It’s come to life as a result of a childhood spent on rolling green hills in a little rural town called Main Ridge on the Mornington Peninsula among cows and creeks, paddocks and old timber fences, where the rhythm of life was shaped by the seasons and the strength of community. That place left a mark on us —a deep appreciation for simplicity, space, and the stories that land can hold.
When we found this incredible patch of earth by Lake Tinaroo in the Atherton Tablelands, it felt like coming home to something familiar. The name Main Ridge became our way of honouring the past while planting new roots in a place that holds the same magic—lush countryside, a strong farming legacy, and that undeniable feeling of peace and adventure that only nature can offer.
We built Main Ridge in 2023 with more than bricks and timber. We built it with soul. It’s for the weekenders, the long-stayers, the late-night storytellers and early risers. For families who need time together, and friends who feel like family. For the kind of people who don’t just want a place to sleep—they want a place that feels like coming home.
